Cure Apparel is an independent clothing brand that focuses on raising awareness and support for diabetes research. Created by Kelly Kiernan after he was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, his intention was to use the clothing as a means to connect with young people who appreciate art, music, and activism. After working with Go Media to build a solid brand identity, Cure Apparel needed a website that acted as a hub for information about the brand and a place to connect with the line’s creators.

Kelly had a typical “startup budget” and he was extremely flexible in allowing us to the freedom to make the most of it. We had discussions about his priorities for the site and how we could develop an appropriate solution. His goals were to inform, inspire, and connect.

Go Media designed the site based on our discoveries during the brand identity project, and we integrated WordPress so Kelly could easily manage all the content on his site. One of the key components of the finished website was a full screen look-book slideshow that showed off the clothing line. Kelly had high quality photographs taken of the clothing by one of his favorite photographers, Tina Dolin. The photos came out great and look fantastic when enlarged to full screen.

As a result of the website, Cure has enjoyed positive feedback and glowing reviews. Web-based indie clothing blog I Am The Trend writes, “The first thing I noticed while checking out Cure Apparel was how awesome their website is. I absolutely love seeing brands that go the extra mile to put together a solid website. To me this often one of the most overlooked aspects that indie clothing brands miss. Aside from a great looking website they have a very professional and impressive look book that really shows off the brand. These are two aspects that for me really separate the men from the boys, and it was great to see Cure Apparel getting this right, right off the bat.”
