Computer Arts Magazine approached Go Media about coming up with a four part tutorial about creating a brand for a fictitious extreme sports company and presenting the brand in different media. I created the first two parts which were creating the logo and a print piece for the brand, as well as writing the tutorials for both parts.
I came up with the name Yellow Snowboards (yellow snow, get it?) and a few different logo concepts. The magazine went with the simpler looking type treatment, but I really liked the drippy concept. It really hinted at the joke of the brand’s name, but the more symmetrical version was a much better fit. – Oliver Barrett
