Tomorrow (June 10th) marks the start of the Weapons of Mass Creation Fest (WMC). Speakers, musicians, volunteers, and attendees will be gathering at Happy Dog to kick-off the fest at 7pm. The opening night will showcase 4 great bands: Humble Home, Gregory and the Hawk, Bethesda, and David Dondero.

Saturday is the first official day of the fest and 12pm is the start time. Speakers will run from 12pm-8pm at the Reinberger Auditorium at 5209 Detroit Avenue. Our very own Jeff Finley and Bill Beachy are two of the speakers to take the stage on Saturday. They will be accompanied by Mig Reyes of Threadless, David Gensler of the KDU, and Jacob Edwards of Jakprints among many others. Sunday’s line-up is action packed with heavy hitters, such as Jessi Arrington of WORKSHOP, Joseph Hughes of Northcoast Zeitgeist, (our own) Oliver Barrett, Aaron “okpants” Sechrist, and Aaron Draplin.

Bands also begin at noon on both days at Happy Dog. They will play until 11pm on Saturday and Sunday when we will all pass out from exhaustion and joy. The variety of music you’ll find is unlike many other festivals – from Nana Grizol to Mose Giganticus to Esquire Mackentyre – there’s a little something for everyone.

Get pumped ya’ll, it’s gonna be amazing. If you have any questions or just want to say ‘hi’, I’ll be the one trying to pronounce all the speakers names correctly. See you there!
