Lincoln Electric is the world leader in the design, development, and manufacture of welding and cutting equipment. Last Fall, they hired Go Media to infuse their new and improved VIKING line of welding helmets with creative illustrations. These helmets represented great improvements in the technology of welding helmets and the company wanted the graphics to reflect the strength and innovation of the new products. The first wave of helmet designs will be released on the market in May and will continue over the next few months.
It was apparent from our very first meeting that we shared many company values with Lincoln Electric. They stressed their desire to form long term, mutually beneficial relationships with their vendors and clients. When we visited their manufacturing plant in Euclid, Ohio, we saw that the top executives ate in the same cafeteria as everyone else working in the plant. It spoke volumes about Lincoln Electric’s character as a company. They recognize that an important part of being an industry leader means creating a sense of community among the people they serve, as well as honoring their responsibility to the communities in which they work.
It’s exciting to know there is such a great company here in Cleveland, Ohio run by honorable leaders. It reassures us that we’re doing the right things here at Go Media, and when the helmets are released we will share our entire design process and pictures of the finished helmets with our readers.
