I’m a strategist, which means I obsess over the big picture but still nudge pixels. I manage product & service development, marketing, design, and communication. In other words, I cook ideas until they’re hot ‘n juicy.
At Go Media, I’ve done a lot of design & product development for The Arsenal, written near a hundred articles for The GoMediaZine, and applied a lifetime of screen-staring and mouse-clicking to the user experience of Prooflab. I work to promote usability, develop analytics, implement search engine optimization, develop branding, take photography, spot iceburgs on the horizon, and cook steaks on the roof.
I spilled a lot of blood & sweat into the first-ever Weapons of Mass Creation Fest in 2010 with Jeff Finley. Weapons of Mass Creation Fest happens once a year to celebrate the result of creative living. It was such a great experience. I can’t wait for WMC Fest 2011.
In spring of 2010 I started recording bands on the first floor of Go Media’s three story warehouse in Ohio City. In fact, the first project was a twelve song set with Parachute Journalists, in which I play guitar and Go Media all-star Jeff Finley plays drums. Soon, I was spending obscene amounts of money on recording equipment, and as many after-hours as possible building sound baffles. It wasn’t long until Bad Racket Recording was officially open for business. So these days, I spend many hours running mic cable & updating the Bad Racket website.
